What we know about the device tax, according to the IRS is this: it is raising $1.8 billion annually. Look at that big number this way - it is as if the equivalent of $34,000 a year job, that is, a job that pays $15 an hour and does not require a college degree, is bled from balance sheets of companies in this space each and every 10 minutes since January 2013. If half of those would-be jobs are in the U.S., then that's a job equivalent lost every 20 minutes. Lawmakers need to repeal this tax.

This is inaccurate. Women have been, until recently under and misdiagnosed. It would seem that it occurs close to equal in both genders and spreading misinformation hinders people from seeking and this receiving a proper diagnosis. Incorrect information such as this is the reason I went undiagnosed for 14 years which lead to much pain and a slew of complicated health issue, not to mention the mental and emotional struggle of not having doctors believe you are in pain.

There is inaccurate information on this post. "The disease occurs most commonly in teen boys and young men." WRONG. Current research and findings show this disease occurs more equally between males and females.

This is actually an article written by Massdevice. I think they mentioned strong because revenues grew by 250k over 1q14. I'm not sure where the 20% increase came from but I agree with you that it wasn't "strong" however it was an improvement. I'm surprised to see the stock dive to 42 cents after improvement. It will be interesting to see if they can get the price over 1.00 to stay listed.

Hi, this article says the Memphis area is the second largest device cluster behind Warsaw.

I think you meant to say in orthopedic device, not medical device in general. California and Minnesota are larger in overall medical device.

The picture does not seem to match the claim that the patient grew a nose on her spine. This picture shows a nose has grown on the forehead of the patient. The nose shown in the picture is quite large and well defined, yet the article states “surgeons removed a 3-centimetre-long growth, which was found to be mainly nasal tissue, as well as bits of bone and tiny nerve branches that had not connected with the spinal nerves.”
A bit misleading and rather dramatized by the photo provided.

4 years ago I had an epidural at L4 and L5. The steroid did pose a systemic problem for me. I ended up with dacryocystitis, two DCRs, maxillary, ethmoid, and frontal sinus infections after a year and a half of life threatening infection. Spinal injections are not so benign for everyone! Its a good thing I found an alternative that works: acupuncture.

I just recently had a knee replacement revision in March of 2012. It was all loose in my knee is what the doctor told me. This was a different doctor that did the revision. I am looking for a lawyer that will take this case. A few that I have checked does not take knee rplacement cases. I had a LCS Dupuy.
